Ok last update. After depinning and repinning the FBW cable and the absolute hassle of getting all the cables in the bar, I see there are no indexing holes. Now I could have just ground the pins off with a dremel, but I decided to do a little measuring and use a Uni-bit to drill the indexing holes. Seems like it would be a simple fix to do that with the bars prior to powder. Harley drills an approximately 1/2” hole in their factory bars. If this was done it would still give end users plenty of adjustment. I took them out for a ride and man they feel great, but the hassle that goes along with them, well let’s just say I would have given 5 stars if KST would have added the little things. I’d still buy them again, I would just prep a little differently.

Update so I finally had time to install these bars. Once I had them unwrapped the first thing I see is a chip in the powder coat. It’s on the bottom, just out side the clamp area, so it will be hidden. The next issue is the bend at the top of the bar, I knew it would be troublesome to get the wires past, but I think the manufacturer could have perhaps softened the edges inside of the tube prior to welding. The look is awesome and I do love the bars, but there could be a little more thought in production for end use. This the 4 star rating as opposed to 5. Depin the FBW cable and use wire lube. Ideal yellow # 77 dries to a non-conductive film. Worked great.

I received these bars in an insanely short time after ordering. Unfortunately I have been out of town for work and haven’t installed them yet. However the finish is perfect and the bars look awesome. I’ll update once installed.

Nice looking bars got the 12s . Suggest to de-plug the throttle side wires both throttle and hand controls. No wire extensions needed even though some others said get them . I went out and got extensions and don't need them plenty of wire with stock wires.

These bars are great! Bike looks awesome. If you’re doing the install yourself, I highly recommend de-pinning your cable connectors prior to running wiring back through. Otherwise you’re going to get the connectors stuck. Also your will absolutely need wiring extenders for this mod. 4” will more than suffice.

Handlebars Measuring Guide

To identify your handlebar needs, we recommend measuring your current handlebar's dimensions as a baseline.

To most closely match the measuring system used on our site, we recommend the following method:

Push a table against a wall. Prop up the handlebars in the corner where the table meets the wall, then rotate the bars forward until the front of the bars touch the wall. In this case, rise is the distance from the table to the highest point on the bars, with pullback measured from the wall to the farthest point back.

Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Diagram of Handlebar Measurements
Width: Measure between the two outside points of the handlebars.
Center Width: Measure between the two inside points of the handlebars.
Rise: Measure from the base of the handlebars to their highest point.
Pullback: Measure from the front of the bars to the furthest point back.

Additional Considerations:

  • Handlebars for Springer Softails are different than bars for other bikes. Learn More
  • We offer bars in two groupings by year of fitment — pre–1982 and later models. The differences are the result of a change of configuration in the switch housings. Learn More
