The Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 is an autonomous self-contained airbag system that can be worn underneath your jacket to provide you with industry leading protection. The Tech-Air 5 Airbag System will fit under any textile jacket with an extra 4 cm around the body. Riders who prefer sport leather jackets must wear an Alpinestars Tech-Air jacket. An active electronic system equipped with 6 integrated sensors (3 gyroscopes and 3 accelerometers) combined with artificial intelligence monitors you while you ride. Once a crash is detected from the advanced algorithm the protective air bag system is deployed and fully inflated within 40 milliseconds. Wearing the Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 Airbag System will result in a decrease of impact force by up to 95% when you compare it to standard impact armor. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 Airbag System can run for up to 30 hours before needing a recharge. Utilizing Bluetooth connectivity, you can pair the Tech-Air 5 Airbag System with your smart phone to get a detailed analysis of a ride, check battery life or update the firmware.
