Baker Drivetrain 6 Speed Direct Drive Gear Set For Harley Big Twin
The Baker DD6 6 Speed Gear Set will drop into your factory transmission housing providing you with a crucial 6th gear that reduces engine speed by 500 RPMs at 80MPH. Reduce vibrations, save fuel and take comfort knowing that your motor is happy to run at highway speeds. If you are looking to maximize efficiency on long trips a Direct Drive Gear Set is the right choice for your bike.
The DD6 provides more than just economical highway cruising. All gearsets are made out of 8620 steel that is cut before heat treating then precision ground creating a gearset rated to 120ft/lbs of continuous torque! 1st through 3rd gears are straight cut (spur) for strength during maximum acceleration with no parasitic axial thrust. 4th and 5th gears are automotive style helical gears for quiet and smooth operation at highway speed, while 6th gear is direct drive, meaning there is no underdrive or overdrive in top gear which translates into 99% efficiency for minimum parasitic loss, minimum wear and tear, and maximum fuel efficiency.

- 6 speed gearset fits into stock and most aftermarket transmission housings
- Full width Baker ground gears for strength, 4th-6th gear are helical for quiet operation
- 28 tooth compensator sprocket, supplied with kit or assembly, also gives 14% more starter torque
- Bearing door is manufactured from 6061-T6 Aluminum and features wider bearings and a bearing retainer plates instead of the stock style snap rings
- Gear ratio of 3.24:1 1st gear and .86:1 6th gear
- Redundant Neutral Smooth Shift System

Notes:
- Minor case modification may be required due to casting variations
- No exhaust clearance issues due to door width and profile (unlike OD6)
