This new replacement unit is designed for highly modified engines in touring bikes. Featuring a permanent magnet motor, it is coupled with an OEM-style offset gear reduction case for a straightforward installation, addressing the hard-starting issues commonly encountered in these motorcycles. Its design ensures reliability and ease of use, making it an ideal option for enhancing performance.

Features:

Special pinion shaft threads and extended jackshaft bolt allow for a wider range of applications
Features oversize clutch rollers, cold headed steel idler gears and armature hairpins that are resistance-fused to the armature
4 gauge battery cables are recommended
Due to the high in rush current of a permanent-magnet motor a minimum 300 CCA battery is recommended
10/32 threaded output shaft
Replaces OEM 31553-90 / 31553-94
