They achieve this with robust materials and rubber-mounted intake bracketry.

The aim of a snorkel kit is to deliver uncontaminated, dry air to the engine and other parts in ATVs and UTVs that need ventilation, including clutch, differentials, transmission, carburetors, and fuel tanks. However, it does not suggest that these vehicles should venture beyond the manufacturer's recommended maximum water line depth. A snorkel kit simply adds an additional safety measure for scenarios where the vehicle is unintentionally drowned in water deeper than the tolerance of the vehicle's air intakes. When considering to exceed water line depth, numerous factors need to be accounted for, and the High Lifter Snorkel Kits are merely one of those components.

Note:  Cutting / trimming some body plastics is required to install this kit. When installing the snorkel kit, you are altering the airflow to the carburetor / throttle body and a jet kit or EFI programmer may or may not be required once the kit is installed.
