The K&N 63-1140 AirCharger Air Intake System is a significant upgrade from the conventional factory air filter and air intake housing. This system markedly reduces intake obstructions by enhancing and aligning the course of airflow. It facilitates a higher volume of air intake compared to the standard factory filter, resulting in increased power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range.

Included in the system are the K&N high-flow air filters and a shielded heat enclosure that fits perfectly into the previous air box space. Airflow is streamlined through the non-restrictive aluminum intake tubes and funneled into the engine's throttle body. This ensures a surefire power boost. Additionally, the enlarged cone-shaped air filters have impressive durability, requiring service only after around 100,000 miles of use, subject to driving conditions. The air intake system is simple to mount, leveraging existing factory points, and comes with a substitute silicone idle bypass hose.

Sales of this air intake system are restricted in California due to non-compliance with emission standards prevalent in the state and other states following similar regulations.
