Instructions were incomplete; they went from (step 5) installing the seat plate to the rear fuel tank mount straight into (step 6) adjusting the lower mount to line up with the springs on the seat. No mention of how to install the springs or pouch to the seat plate and seat itself, or any associated hardware. The hardware wasn't well marked or referenced, for instance there are two different types of nylon washers (one thick, one thin) included in the kit and one step instructed the end user to place "two nylon washers under the lower plate, between the frame and the plate". The thicker ones go here, while the thinner nylon washers are supposed to be placed between the seat plate forward mount and the fuel tank rear mount, but there isn't enough clearance. There is also an extra long bolt and nylon lock nut that aren't referenced in the instructions and don't appear to be needed. The pouch that comes with the kit (which is nice) has a hook that attaches to the rear underside of the seat plate and a hole (with matching threaded hole in seat plate) in the forward portion for mounting; however, there is no hardware to attach the pouch to the seat plate. It is a Ø1/4"-20 x 3/8" long bolt. Also, the holes in the seat plate forward mount are drilled to exactly Ø5/16" (and coated)... which is the exact diameter of the fuel tank rear mount bolt. This had to be drilled out to fit. This is the worst thing about the seat as it should not have left the factory with an incorrect size. Anyone can install the seat with a lack of instructions, but no one should have to modify the dimensions of a mass produced part to fit as intended. Other than those issues, the seat is very well made and feels very comfortable. I installed it on my 2007 Dyna Street Bob as a temporary seat while my custom seat is re-done. The bike doesn't have a back fender and when taking off, you tend to slide back on this seat which is an uneasy feeling. I've never ridden on a springer seat before, so there's also getting used to the bike shifting from side to side underneath your rear. All in all, it's worth the money.

Important Product Notes

Seats, once mounted, cannot be returned. Returned seats must be in new condition with no evidence of wear or mount marks. Be careful to check fitment before mounting your new seat. When checking fitment of seat, place a cloth under seat, do not bolt down seat. Carefully set seat on bike and check fitment. Returned seats showing any signs of wear or mount marks cannot be accepted. Please be careful when checking fitment.
