Baker Drivetrain 7 Speed Direct Drive Gear Set For Harley M8 Softail / Touring

The Baker DD7 7-Speed Gear Set will drop into your factory transmission housing providing you with a 7th gear, reducing gaps between gears and keeping your bike in the power band longer! If you are looking to maximize efficiency and improve the quality of your shifts, a Direct Drive Gear Set is the right choice for your bike.

All gearsets are made out of 8620 steel that is cut before heat treating then precision ground creating a gearset rated to 160ft/lbs of continuous torque! 2nd and 3rd gears are straight cut (spur) for strength during maximum acceleration with no parasitic axial thrust. All other are automotive style helical gears for quiet and smooth operation at highway speed.

7th gear is a 1:1 direct drive, meaning there is no underdrive or overdrive in top gear, translating to 99% mechanical efficiency!

Features:

7 speed gearset fits into stock and most aftermarket transmission housings
2nd and 3rd are full width Baker ground gears for strength,1st and 4th-7th gear are helical for quiet operation
Bearing door is manufactured from 6061-T6 Aluminum and features wider bearings and a bearing retainer plates instead of the stock style snap rings
3.76:1 1st gear is shorter than the stock 3.34:1 for harder pulls off the line
Door bearings are 28% wider than stock

6061 billet trap door
Tapered roller bearing for mainshaft allows proper end play adjustment
Beefy 1/8″ thick bearing retainer plate
All gears, main shaft and countershaft
Longer primary chain
Adjusting shoe
Shifter drum and detent components
All bearings, snap rings, gaskets and hardware
