Fox Factory has revolutionized UTV / Side-by-Side suspension with their position-sensitive damping technology, derived from trophy truck innovations. This direct bolt-on replacement notably increases the shock bore diameter to reduce fading and employs velocity-sensitive damping for enhanced resistance against constant impacts. Constructed with lightweight aluminum, the design aims at maintaining a reduced weight without compromising on performance. The inclusion of independent high- and low-speed compression adjusters, wide-range rebound adjusters, and a dual-rate spring package with adjustable crossover rings allows for precision tuning of the suspension to achieve peak performance. The cornerstone of this design is FOX’s patented Internal Bypass technology (IBP), which adapts damping based on the piston’s position within the shock, ensuring a balance between handling and protection against harsh impacts, thereby tailoring the ride to smoothly navigate through varied terrains without sacrificing control or risking damage.
